Robert Siers “Rob” Cavallo is an American record producer, musician, and record industry executive.
Primarily known for his production work with Green Day, Cavallo has also worked with Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance, Eric Clapton, the Goo Goo Dolls, the Dave Matthews Band, Kid Rock, Jawbreaker, Alanis Morissette, Black Sabbath, Phil Collins, Paramore, Sixpence None the Richer, Lil Peep, Shinedown, and Meat Loaf. Cavallo plays multiple instruments and has professional credits for his bass, keyboard, organ, piano, guitar and percussion work.
As a producer, he has sold an excess of 160 million records worldwide. He was also Chairman of Warner Bros. Records from 2010 to 2015. He has won three Grammy Awards including “Producer of the Year” and “Record of the Year.” He has also worked on numerous movies and soundtracks including Disney’s Tarzan, Runaway Bride, Austin Powers, Twilight, City of Angels, Rent (film), and most recently has collaborated with Andrew Lloyd Weber on the Broadway play School of Rock.
Currently, Cavallo is still producing records and developing shows for Broadway television and movies.
